The cat has been trying to get to sleep on some of my proddy “works in progress”. So I decided to make her a little mat all of her own. I drew round an oval tin tray for the shape and made the mat with a selection of left-over strips from other projects.
As you can see, the cat loves it!
I love this rug! Had so much fun with all the reds in the background. There’s wool, fleece, t-shirts in there, even a lovely dark red devore velvet – scrummy!

A friend kindly gave me an assortment of lovely thick wool yarns for my birthday – so I hooked them into
t
his seat pad, made as a birthday present for another long-standing friend. (The “Oye” refers to a catchphrase greeting from when we were teenagers!) First time I’d thought to use wool in a rug – it’s very soft and cosy to sit on.
Finished the latest proddy rug last week, (the one pictured as work in progress on an earlier post). I’m really enjoying the contrast of the orange/yellow/reds against the dark blues.
It will shortly be listed for sale through my Folksy shop at Little Yellow Bird (www.Folksy.com/shops/rozzynanty). The rug looks beautiful on a wooden floor, as a seat cover or a wallhanging.
