Calling all Rag Ruggers! Textile Arts Festival at Barton Open Gardens 23rd and 24th June

Calling all workshop participants! If you have rag rugs which you would like to exhibit at the Arts Festival at Barton Open Gardens event on Saturday/Sunday 23rd and 24th June, please give me a call on 0792 151 5320 or email so we can arrange delivery and hanging etc. Please note there is a change of venue – we are now in St. James Church Hall, St James Road, Barton under Needwood, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. DE13 8HY

The Textile Artfest will be 12 .30 – 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday 23/24th June 2012 in St James Church Hall and will have a great many local textile artists .
The crafts will include the following:
Rag Rugging and Prodding
Patchwork and Quilting
Lace making
Designer-Led fabric gifts
Vintage and Antique Sewing Accessories
Cane Chairmaking
Japanese Patchwork
Intarsia Knitting inspired by Kaffe Fassett
Children’s Textile Crafts
Extreme Knitting and Extreme Crochet
Knotting and Braiding
Cup Cake Making and Decorating
Paper craft and Scrapbooking
Willow-Work and Basketmaking
Upcycling and Recycling of Vintage Fabric and Clothing
Teddy Bear Making
Doll and Angel Making
Felt work / Dry and Wet
Spinning and Weaving from Local Sheep Fleece
Wood Turning Gifts

Most of these crafts will be demonstrated and the artists’ work will often be for sale or for commission.

Refreshments will be available.

Admission is with the Open Gardens Programme or separately for £1 (monies to go to the charities chosen for this year.
