Doing the shows

It’s been a busy few weeks on the craft fair front.  On 20th July I was demonstrating at Alrewas Show, working on a hooked rug in a large frame which lots of people came and helped me with.alrewas show 2013Next was Kings Bromley Show on the 27th.  Blazing hot weather brought the crowds out again and our craft tent was extremely popular.  A funny moment – I was chatting away knowledgeably to a family when suddenly felt a scratching on my foot.  A big scary looking black beetle was wrapped around my toe!  As you can imagine I hit the roof, issuing a few expletives on the way.  The beetle legged it, leaving me to apologise for my bad language.

The day after Kings Bromley was the third Barton Marina Craft Fair at the Waterfront, Barton under Needwood.  This is always well attended.  Despite all the storms the night before we were able to set up though we did have some problems with the strong winds – hang on to your gazebos, folks!  Looking forward to the next Marina Craft Fair on the 25th August.
