Following our move from the narrowboat to the house there was a pile of sheets and duvet covers that had seen better days and needed replacing. I washed and dried the old bedding and stuffed it away in plastic crates.
Now it’s all come out of the crates, has been torn into 2 inch strips and is being crocheted into a big rug. More on this when it’s finished.
Not actually made of carpet but recycled tapestry upholstery fabric and lined with red dralon velvet curtain material. The binding around the top is real leather, as is the drawstring strap.
This bag will be featured in my Folksy shop soon and more are planned. I have been using the first version of this design personally since November of last year and have to say it’s very easy to use, looks good, is hardwearing and holds loads!
