New Carpet Bag (3)

Just finished a new version of my favourite bag which I’ve been using continuously for the last six months.  The original is on the left.  It’s worn in very well and I think actually looks better than the brand new one on the right.

Here’s the view of the bag open. It’s got loads of space inside and a slip pocket for your tiddley items.  The bag closes automatically as soon as you lift the leather straps but I’ve added a magnetic snap for extra security.

This is just the easiest and most convenient bag design ever!    For sale soon at Tolson’s Mill Craft Fair and Barton Marina and online through http://www.folksy.com/shops/rozzynanty.

New “Carpet” Bag (2)

Here’s a picture of the “one I made earlier” which has been in continuous use since last November. I have to say that this is probably the most useful bag I’ve ever owned.  It’s wearing well;  only sign of use is the magnetic snap detaching slightly.  (This is because it was sewn on afterwards for extra security – not be a problem in the new bags as the snap is firmly fixed through the body of the bag).

The postman has delivered my order of new leather strap this morning, so time to make some more bags!

New “Carpet” Bag

Not actually made of carpet but recycled tapestry upholstery fabric and lined with red dralon velvet curtain material.  The binding around the top is real leather, as is the drawstring strap.

This bag will be featured in my Folksy shop soon and more are planned.  I have been using the first version of this design personally since November of last year and have to say it’s very easy to use, looks good, is hardwearing and holds loads!
